The first lesson that we started the opening sequence of a film project,as research we looked at the opening sequences of 6 films. When looking at them they all had the following 6 things in common. They were as follows:
1. Establishing main characters
2. Establishing setting
3. Music
4. Titles
5. Genre
6. Hint at the plot

All opening seqeunces feature these 6 points, however the plot may not be as recognisable in all opening sequences. By doing this in the open sequence of a film we get an insight into the film and a relationship with the characters involved.
